This Is A Gooey Situation

Beware:  "This is a gooey situation. "  These are the exact words used by a child today when watching others use a colorful slime concoction.

Aside from a typical "teacher store" the Dollar Store is one of my favorite places to buy fun, educational materials for my kids.  I found this blue slime recently and knew the kids would love it.

Each child who experienced the slime mentioned how it felt cold, slimy, goopy, wet, and hard to hold.  We had such rich conversations about words they could use to describe the substance.  For some children, this was a lesson in new vocabulary.  For others, it was an age-appropriate lesson in adjectives!

On a side note...the weather today is sunny and lovely.  We made a quick trip to our School Garden.  Tomorrow's weather looks great, too, and we hope to complete our anticipated "Peter Rabbit" project!
